How we treat sources
- Official sources first. Eligibility, documents and process information comes from the official portal and from Department of Women and Child Development notices.
- Reported information is labelled. Where a detail has appeared in mainstream news reporting but we have not confirmed it on an official page, we mark it Reported and say so.
- We do not invent dates or numbers. We do not publish payment dates, installment dates, deadlines, beneficiary counts or helpline numbers that we cannot trace to a source.
- Last-checked dates are real. They record when a person actually opened the link. They are never back-dated.
Official notifications and Gazette documents published by the Department are used where directly relevant. If you find a source that is out of date or a link that no longer works, please tell us through our Correction Policy.
