Delhi Lakshmi Yojana kya hai?
Delhi Lakshmi Yojana ek mahila-kendrit yojana hai — in plain terms, it is a women-focused financial-assistance scheme run by the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of NCT of Delhi. One eligible woman per family receives monthly financial support of ₹2,500. Everything official happens through a single portal at dly.delhi.gov.in: you answer eligibility questions there, submit the form there, upload documents there, and track the application there.
Two things are worth understanding early, because they cause most of the confusion:
- It is a household-level benefit, not a per-person one. The scheme is written around the eldest eligible female member of a family, so several adult women in one household do not each get ₹2,500.
- An MP or MLA endorsement is part of the paperwork. You generate the endorsement letter from the portal, get it signed by the MP or MLA of your constituency, and upload the signed copy. This is not an optional extra.

How the ₹2,500 reaches you
How the Monthly Benefit Is Paid
Reported Not yet verified by us on an official page. Treat as indicative.
The monthly assistance is not necessarily paid out as unrestricted cash. Reporting of the scheme guidelines describes two structures a beneficiary may choose between.
| Choice | How ₹2,500 per month is applied |
|---|---|
| Option 1 | ₹1,500 into a recurring/fixed deposit in the beneficiary’s name and ₹1,000 into a digital (CBDC / e-Rupee) wallet. |
| Option 2 | The full ₹2,500 into a recurring/fixed deposit in the beneficiary’s name. |
Reported by mainstream news outlets from the scheme guidelines. Confirm the option applicable to you on the official portal before choosing.
This is the part people are most surprised by, so it is worth repeating: reporting of the scheme guidelines describes the money being applied partly as a savings deposit in the beneficiary’s name rather than paid entirely as unrestricted cash. Confirm what applies to you on the official portal before you choose an option. More on our installment page.
Checking your application and payment
After submitting, you track the application on the official portal using the acknowledgement you downloaded at the end of the form. That acknowledgement is the single most important thing to save — keep a screenshot as well as the PDF.
Our guides explain what each stage means: application status and payment status. Both pages include a clearly-labelled demonstration so you can see how a status screen behaves before you use the real one.
